FILA took part in the World Combat Games Overview Meeting that was organized in Lausanne on 22-23 January 2013. With only 8 months to go before the opening of the Games, SportAccord and the Local Organizing Committee covered several important topics, including the final competition program, the promotion and broadcasting of the 15 sports on the program, the cultural events typical of the World Combat Games, the ticketing, the antidoping and integrity policies, and the registration, timing ans scoring that will be managed by Swiss Timing, official partner of the event.
The FILA competitions will run over 3 days according to the following schedule: No-Gi Grappling and Greco-Roman Wrestling on 23 October, Belt Wrestling, Gi Grappling and Women's Freestyle on 24 October, Belt Wrestling, Pankration and Men's Freestyle on 25 October 2013. The next qualification phases will take place during the World Cups in Tehran and Ulaanbaatar for wrestling and during the 2013 VIC Tour Final for grappling.
